The life of Darby Jampijinpa Ross spanned a time of great change in Warlpiri culture. Darby was a strong law man, an artist and a storyteller. His work is currently on show at the Araluen Arts Centre at Alice Springs.  The Nyurru-warnu website brings you some of Darby's stories to give you a flavour of Darby's life and experiences. The Nyurru-Warnu website brings you video, audio images from the 25 year old Warlpiri Media Archive. Since 1983 Warlpiri people have been making videos, taking photos and recording story. Those productions form the unique collection of the Warlpiri Media Archive of Warlpiri Media Association.

The  Nyurru-Warnu site regularly profiles content from the Archive. Depending on the time of the year you might find sports videos, jukurrpa stories, or oral histories. You'll get to hear Warlpiri as well and get to know some Warlpiri words. Nyurru-Warnu for example means "long time ago".

Warlpiri Media Association, now known as PAW Media and Communications, is proud to showcase some if its rich history of productions  from the last 25 years.
